I had a mix of experiences at this hotel. The rooms were fine overall, with the advantage of having a real window to open and enjoy some fresh Scottish air, but they were quite uncomfortable due to the constant noise from staff moving around. The presence of sofas and chairs around a chimney gave a cozy touch, and having 2 bathrooms was a great perk. The service was a definite plus as the staff were friendly, helpful, and polite. On the downside, the lack of upkeep and maintenance relative to the price we paid might deter me from a return visit. The location had its ups and downs; being near the kitchens meant enduring noisy fans, but it was convenient for exploring the Highlands and key sights like Aviemore, Cairngorm, Loch Ness, and more. Dining was a bit of a letdown overall, even though there were highlights like the traditional local products. The price seemed somewhat fair considering the overall experience.

The rooms were a mix of positives and negatives. While they had a real window that I could open for some fresh Scottish air, they were quite uncomfortable due to the constant noise of staff going in and out. The presence of sofas and chairs in front of a chimney added a cozy touch, and the presence of 2 bathrooms was a great convenience.
Service

The service was a definite plus, with friendly and polite staff. Special recognition goes to Howard, the restaurant manager, who went above and beyond to make my mom's stay extra special.
Location
6.0
The location had its ups and downs; although it was close to key Highlands sights, being above the kitchens meant enduring noisy fans. It was convenient for exploring the region, but the disappointment of staying in the external Manor House slightly dampened the experience.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience had its ups and downs. While falling short of expectations in some areas, it shone with outstanding traditional local products. Daryl in the dining room added a bright spot with his exceptional service.
Facilities

The facilities seemed adequate without any standout features. Basic amenities were provided, but nothing exceptional was noted.

My stay at the hotel was delightful with clean, cosy rooms offering fantastic views of the mountains and countryside. The breakfast and dinner were nice, although a bit more variety in the menu could be a plus. The only drawback was the lack of cooling in the room.

The hotel offers rooms with a fantastic view, but they tend to steam up after a shower. The rooms are lofty and spacious with leather armchairs and log fires, although they felt a bit dated. The food and service are rated at 2-star at best, offering somewhat disappointing dining experiences. The location is brilliant, with good walks and shops nearby, and the Victorian style adds to the charm of the stay.

My stay at the hotel was a mix of highs and lows. The rooms, located in the external Manor House, were more like a suite with 2 bedrooms and a lovely bathroom, which I enjoyed. However, the view onto a brick wall instead of the beautiful Perthshire countryside was a letdown. The dinner experience was exceptional and highly recommended.

The hotel offers lovely views and a decent dressing table in the rooms, but some aspects like the dated furniture and limited hanging options for wet jackets could be improved. The service was a mix of pleasant experiences and some unprofessional behavior. The location, while central and spacious, may need renovations in certain rooms. The dining experience had its ups and downs. Overall, a place with potential but in need of some updates.

The hotel didn't have my room ready upon arrival but assured it would be ready in half an hour. The room had a musty smell, including the bathroom, and was not up to the standard expected for the price of a twin room at Atholl Palace.

The hotel boasts charming rooms and public areas, but some noise disturbances affected our sleep quality. The peaceful end-of-corridor location was a plus, yet proximity to kitchen aircon units was a downside.
Rooms

The hotel had very clean and airy rooms with a mix of a queen and 3 single beds, but the creaky floors added charm. The staff at the quarters was accommodating, despite a shower issue that required room changes. The Faulty Towers atmosphere added to the entertainment value, though service could be more responsive. The location, though welcoming, lacked assistance with luggage and had a mix of historical and renovated elements. The dining experience was okay, with limited options and somewhat detached staff. In terms of facilities, the hotel provided a good selection of cocktails and whiskeys.

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were beautifully decorated with a mix of chesterfield settees and comfy leather chairs, but unfortunately, they were small and looked tired, located on the noisy third floor. The spa area was a bit unkempt and infested with ants, which was a major downside for me.
